About This Trip
Travel to South Korea and China in 14 days! You will start your journey from Seoul with visits to the famous Gyeongbokgung Palace and the traditional Korean-style houses of Bukchon Hanok. Then, fly to China to explore what it has to offer. You can admire the modern architecture when walking on the Bund in Shanghai, immerse in a scenic cruise on the Li River in Guilin, and see the life-size Terracotta Warriors in Xi'an. End your journey in Beijing, where you can walk on the Mutianyu Great Wall and see the locals playing Tai Chi in the Temple of Heaven.

Day 1: Arrival, Seoul
Upon your arrival at Incheon International Airport, your driver guide will greet you and then escort you to the hotel in Seoul. Check in and have some free time to recover from the jet lag.

Day 2: Seoul, Gyeongbokgung Palace & Hanok
This morning, pay a visit to the Gyeongbokgung Palace, the most famous palace in Seoul. After coming out, move to the nearby Bukchon Hanok, Seoul's most representative traditional residences where you can see approximately 900 traditional Korean style houses. Besides, you have a chance to learn to prepare Korean local dishes for lunch.
Later, stroll along the artsy Samcheong Dong, a popular area mixing modern elements with traditional Hanok buildings. End today's sightseeing at N Seoul Tower on Mt. Namsan for panoramic views of Seoul.
Note: Gyeongbokgung Palace is closed on Tuesdays and a visit to Changdeokgung Palace will be arranged instead on that day.

Day 3: Seoul, Demilitarized Zone
You will take a join-in group tour to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and Panmunjom, which is most notably known for the peace talks that were held here on October 25, 1951 and were designated as the Joint Security Area on July 27, 1953 when the armistice agreement was signed. After the trip, you will be escorted to your hotel by coach.
Note: Join-in coach tour only, not operated on Sundays and Mondays; Children under 12 are not allowed to attend Panmunjom part.

Day 4: Seoul - Shanghai
Enjoy some free time until your driver guide transfers you to the airport for your flight to Shanghai, China. Upon arrival at Shanghai airport, your private tour guide will greet you and escort you to the hotel with the driver. The rest of the day is for your own exploration nearby.

Day 5: Shanghai, City Sightseeing
In the morning, you will visit the major sightseeing of this city including the Bund, Yu Garden, Yuyuan Market, Jade Buddha Temple and a silk workshop.
After lunch, your private guide will accompany you stroll in Fuxing Park to see the locals enjoy their leisure time, walk through Bugaoli to watch the traditional dwellings and then stop at a food market to try some popular dim sum.

Day 6: Shanghai - Guilin
Have breakfast at the hotel and then leave for the airport for the flight to Guilin. After your arrival, your local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.

Day 7: Guilin - Longsheng Town - Guilin
Today, start a 2 hours' drive to Longsheng, which is known for its spectacular terraced fields, also called as Longji Rice Terraces or Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces. You will be amazed at the breathtaking scenery as well as the ethnic minority villages. In the late afternoon, return to downtown Guilin.

Day 8: Guilin - Yangshuo, Li River Cruise
Get ready for a relaxing Li River Cruise today. After breakfast, drive to the Zhujiang wharf, where you'll embark on your journey along the picturesque Li River. Along the way, as the boat is sailing downstream, you'll get unlimited fresh air, see amazing rock formations with lush greenery, spot water buffaloes, and pass by local fishing villages.
After the cruise, be transferred to your hotel in Yangshuo. Take a break before going out for a cooking class. Go to a local market and purchase raw materials in the company of your teacher. Later, follow the teacher's way and DIY your own local cuisine. You may enjoy your works as your dinner.
Note: The cooking class is normally with a fixed menu which is popular among Westerners. It's a join-in group lesson, but an alternative private class with extra charge is available if you prefer. Vegetable diet cooking class is available if required.

Day 9: Yangshuo - Guilin - Xi'an
After breakfast, enjoy a tour to the countryside of karst landform either by sightseeing car or bicycle. After that, drive back to Guilin for a visit to the Reed Flute Cave and a pearl store. Later, leave for the airport for the flight to Xi'an. On arrival, be met and escorted to your hotel for rest.

Day 10: Xi'an, Terracotta Warriors
Your experience in Xi'an will be highlighted by the underground Terracotta Warriors created thousands of years ago. They are clay soldiers and horses in life size and arrayed in some form.
Continue to visit Xi'an Art Ceramics Factory afterward. Take a stroll along the Muslim Street and taste some local snacks after returning to the downtown. The Great Mosque will be the last stop of today's tour.

Day 11: Xi'an - Beijing
In the morning, head for the Ancient City Wall for a glance at the old quarter of the city. If you would like, cycling on the wall will be a great experience. On the way to the airport, you will pay a visit to Hanyang Tomb. Catch the flight to Beijing and be greeted by your local guide before being transferred you to the hotel.

Day 12: Beijing, the Forbidden City
After breakfast, meet your guide at the hotel lobby and then head to Tiananmen Square, and walk into the Forbidden City which is the former imperial palace of ancient China, as well as the largest wooden palace complex in the world. Come out from the palace, climb up to the top of Jingshan Park for a stunning view of the whole Forbidden City. Later, head to the Temple of Heaven where ancient emperors prayed to heaven for good harvest.

Day 13: Beijing, Mutianyu Great Wall
The Great Wall of China was built as early as the 7th century BC for the defense and border controls. Today, you will drive about 1.5 hours to visit it. Hike on the Great Wall at Mutianyu section (cable car up and down included) to marvel at its spectacularity. Visit a jade gallery and the Sacred Road afterward, and then get back to the downtown.

Enjoy some free time until being escorted to the airport for your flight departing from Beijing.
