Day 2: Guilin - Longsheng
One of the best times to photo the Terrace Field in Longsheng is from late May to early June when the watering fields seem like mirrors in all sizes reflecting the blue sky and white clouds. The other best time is from the end of September to the end of October when the yellowing rice covering the rolling mountains like an endless quilt.
You will spend overnight in the Ping'an Zhuang village that lies on the slope of the mountain. On the way to the village, you may encounter some Yao women in traditional costumes and with very long hair coiled on top of the head.
Your guide will accompany you to find the best viewing platform to enjoy the sunset as well as help you communicate with the Yao women if you would like to photograph them and their long hair.

Day 4: Xingping
The Li River comes from north to south and makes a big turn at the foot of the Xianggong Hill. The river together with the towering peaks and scattered villages on both banks form the most spectacular natural landscape of Guilin. In the early morning, the changing sunshine and floating fog add more charms and make it an otherworldly land.
This morning, you need to get up very early and hike about 30 minutes up to the hilltop to capture the splendid picture. Later on, move on to the old town of Xingping, check into your hotel, and relax.
At the sunset, you will be ready to photograph the most classic picture on the Li River: fisherman, cormorants, and bamboo raft, still or moving in the twilight with the Yellow Cloth Reflection as the background. The Yellow Cloth Reflection is the picture you can see on the 20 Yuan banknote.
