Itinerary

• Day 1: Great Wall Hike & Night Tour

  Staying away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Jinshanling Great Wall is an ideal place for you to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Wall.

  Meet your guide and driver at the lobby of your downtown hotel in the morning and start your stirring tour to the Great Wall. Arrive about 2.5 hours later and then take a moderate hike for two to four hours according to your physical conditions.

  After finishing the tour to Jinshanling Great Wall, within another half hours' drive, you will arrive at Gubei Water town that combines authentic villages, hotels and restaurants in old styles, and the spectacular beauty of Simatai Great Wall.

  At around 8 pm, your guide will accompany get up on the Great Wall by cable car to capture the enchanting night view of the Great Wall. Before that, you will have some leisure time to explore the water town yourself.

• Day 2: Gubei Water Town, Return to Beijing

  In the morning, you could breathe the fresh morning air and then have a leisurely walk around the water town with your tour guide. See the snaking lake flowing through the town with some boats sailing on it, admire the ancient-style buildings along the riverside, and explore various unique shops as walking along the street. And if you are interested, you can also try to make kites or learn tie-dyed at extra pay.

  In the afternoon, take another 2.5 hours' drive back to your hotel in downtown Beijing.
