With this week-long itinerary that combines natural beauty and cultural exploration, see Lugu Lake, Shangri-La, and Lijiang. In Lugu Lake, you can not only enjoy its stunning scenery but also join in a lively Mosuo Bonfire Party. Shangri-La offers fantastic landscapes and unique Tibetan culture. You'll visit Pudacuo National Park, Songzanlin Monastery, Tiger Leaping Gorge, Shigu Town, and the First Bend of the Yangtze River. When you arrive in Lijiang, the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain will show you a different kind of natural beauty.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival, Lijiang
Upon arrival, you will be transferred to hotel. After check-in, you can have your own time in the ancient town of Lijiang at leisure.

Day 2: Lijiang - Lugu Lake, Jinsha River Valley
In this morning, go to Lugu Lake by car (about 3.5 hours). When passing through the residential areas of the minority group of Yi in the Jinsha River Valley, you can enjoy the exotic customs. Here, people usually dressed in national costumes with a long cigarette holder in the mouth.
At noon, continue to Lugu Lake to have a glimpse of the mysterious lake. In the afternoon, take a Pig Tank Boat to the Island of Liwubi to enjoy the charming landscape of the lake. At night, visit a Mosuo family and spend the night huddled around bonfires with the local people.

Day 3: Lugu Lake - Shangri-La, Ancient Town
Get up early and have a chance to watch the sunrise over the lake. Later, pay a visit to the Zhamei Temple in Yongning Town, admiring the vivid Buddhist murals.
After that, head to Shangri-La about 6 hours by private car. On the way, you will meet Jinsha River again with a beautiful picture of the terraced fields, snow-capped mountains, and villages, which is a good place to take photos. After arrival, visit Dukezong Jiantang Ancient Town to get a feeling of Tibetan style and then have your own free time.

Day 4: Shangri-La, Songzanlin Monastery
After breakfast, you will enjoy a relaxing time in the Pudacuo National Park and appreciate the good scenery of Shudu Lake, one of the largest plateau lakes in Shangri-La.
After lunch, proceed to Songzanlin Monastery to see the so-called "the Small Potala Palace" or "Tibetan Art Museum", a collection of Tibetan plastic art and the highest institution of a local theocratic system.

Day 5: Shangri-La - Lijiang, Tiger Leaping Gorge
Today, drive back to Lijiang (around 4 hours on road). On the way, visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge, which is honored as the deepest and one of the most marvelous gorges on the earth.
Later, be transferred to the town of Shigu (Stone Drum) - a town standing on a green hill. You can view the stunning First Bend of the Yangtze River and Iron Chain Bridge. After arrival, you will be escorted to your hotel in Lijiang.

Day 6: Lijiang, City Tour
Start your tour with the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to get up the mountain by cable car and hike up further if you want. After getting down from the mountain, continue to Baisha Village to view the Baisha Mural Paintings which is derived from various religious cultures, including Buddhism, Lamaism, Daoism and the Naxi Dongba religion.
Later, drive back to the ancient town of Lijiang to visit the Black Dragon Pool Park, where you can see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from afar. Move towards the Museum of Naxi Dongba Culture to admire the exhibitions of Naxi culture and dress, Dongba script, information on Lijiang's old town and so on.

Day 7: Lijiang, Departure
Enjoy some free time at leisure until being escorted to the airport for your return flight. Looking forward to traveling with you again!
