Road to Southern Guangxi: Nanning & Jingxi

Itinerary

• Day 1: Arrival, Nanning

  Upon arrival in Nanning, the capital and largest city of Guangxi region, your personal guide will welcome you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to rest and recover from your journey.

• Day 2: Nanning

  First, you will go to Guangxi Ethnic Relics Center, a characteristic outdoor gallery for the Zhuang, Yao, Miao and Dong minority people. If time permits, you may also stop by the adjacent Museum of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (closed on Mondays) for more knowledge about the ethnic culture of Guangxi.

  In the afternoon, drive around 30 minutes to Qingxiu Mountain Scenic Area, dubbed as the "Green Lungs" of Nanning, to breathe in the fresh air, wander among the verdant trees, and pay a visit to the historic sites on the mountain.

• Day 3: Nanning - Jingxi

  After breakfast, drive about 3 hours to Jingxi. Enjoy lunch there, and then visit Quyang Lake Scenic Area in the afternoon. It is recommended that you take a boat ride on the lake to appreciate the beautiful karst landscape. The scenery here comparable to the Li River in Guilin or Halong Bay of Vietnam!

• Day 4: Jingxi - Daxin

  Discover the mysterious Tongling Grand Canyon in the morning. In addition to verdant mountains and clear rivers, you may also find many valuable endemic plants.

  In the afternoon, drive to Daxin to visit Asia's largest transnational waterfall and the world's fourth-largest waterfall - Detian Waterfall. You may take a boat ride to feel its grandeur up close. Afterward, drive to Mingshi Village for the night.

• Day 5: Daxin - Nanning, Departure

  All the good things come to an end. Before your home-bound flight, pay a visit to Mingshi Village, a land of idyllic beauty, and enjoy the elegant scenery by drifting down the river.
