Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
For any fan of the Great Wall, this tour will provide treasure chances to spend overnight on it, cozily and peacefully. Of course, you will not miss the highlights in the city either.
Upon arrival at the international airport or railway station in Beijing, your professional tour guide will welcome and escort you to your hotel in a private vehicle. The rest of the day is yours to relax and recover from jet lag.

Day 2: Beijing
It is a day for you to discover the most important landmarks in the capital of China. Start from Tian'anmen Square - the political center of present China, the guide will then take you to the Forbidden City - the power seat of ancient China between 1420AD and 1911AD, the Jingshan Park - the imperial garden that provides a splendid panorama of the Forbidden City, and then a Hutong for a glimpse into old Beijinger's traditional lifestyle.

Day 3: Beijing
The Temple of Heaven was where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshiped Heaven and prayed for a good harvest annually. This morning, you will firstly marvel at its dignified architecture and see the elderly in Beijing enjoying their leisure time there.
Afterward, a two-hour drive will take you to the Brickyard Retreat at Mutianyu, a typical lodge transformed from a glazed tile factory boasting stunning vistas of the Great Wall. Enjoy a fancy lunch there, take a cable car to get on the Great Wall, and do some hikes to catch more spectacular views of the surroundings.
Later on, return to your lodge and enjoy some leisure time.

Day 4: Beijing
Compared to Mutianyu Great Wall, the unrepaired Jinshanling Great Wall maintains its original features much better and hence is more popular with hiking enthusiasts.
After the pleasant lunch at the Brickyard, proceed to Jinshanling (about two hours on the road) for a moderate hike for two to four hours, according to your physical condition. Afterward, within another half hours' drive, you will reach Gubei Water Town at the foot of Simatai Great Wall. Check into your hotel and enjoy some leisure time. You may like to take a hot spring bath or explore the water town on your own.
At around 8 pm, get up Simatai Great Wall (round-way cable car included) with your guide to enjoy the mesmerizing night views of the Great Wall and the water town.

Day 5: Beijing
Wake up naturally. After breakfast at the hotel, you can have a leisure walk around the water town with your tour guide. See the snaking lake flowing through it with some boats sailing around, admire the ancient-style buildings along the riverside, and explore various shops selling exotic handicrafts. If you are interested, you can pay a little money and try to make a kite or tie-dyed.
In the afternoon, take a 2.5 hours' drive back to your hotel in downtown Beijing.

Day 6: Beijing - Departure
Time to say goodbye to Beijing! When you get ready, your guide and driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
