  Upon arrival at the international airport or railway station in Beijing, your professional tour guide will welcome and escort you to your hotel in a private vehicle. The rest of the day is yours to relax and recover from jet lag.

  It is a day for you to discover the most iconic landmarks in the capital of China. Start at Tiananmen Square, the political center of present-day China, where history and symbolism converge. From here, enter the Forbidden City, the grand palace complex that served as the seat of power from 1420AD to 1911AD. Conclude the day with a visit to Jingshan Park, an imperial garden offering a splendid panorama of the Forbidden City.

• Day 3: Great Wall Hike & Night Tour

  After a fulfilling hike, head to Gubei Water Town for an enchanting night at the foot of the Simatai Great Wall. As dusk falls and the ramparts glow with soft illumination, take a cable car up to appreciate the peace of this historic site under the stars.

  In the afternoon, explore the narrow alleyways on a fun and engaging rickshaw tour, visiting traditional courtyard homes to gain insight into the soul of life in hutongs. Conclude with a brief introduction to Peking Opera while savoring a cup of fragrant Chinese tea.
