  Start your day with a visit to Elephant Hill Park to get a close view of the famous rock elephant and even ascend it if you wish. Then, delve into the Reed Flute Cave to appreciate the natural stalagmites and stalactites palace.

  In the afternoon, explore Daxu Ancient Town, where you can roam along the flagstone streets and admire the exquisite traditional architecture.

• Day 3: Bajiaozhai Scenic Area

  Today, venture to the lesser-known but equally magnificent Bajiaozhai Scenic Area in Ziyuan County, about 2-hour drive away. This hidden gem offers a secluded atmosphere among the Danxia mountains, a unique landform in China. Marvel at how these natural masterpieces stand out from ordinary rolling greenery with its stark, precipitous cliffs.

  The hike through this breathtaking landscape takes approximately 2-3 hours. As your adventure ends, a private transfer will bring you back to downtown Guilin.

• Day 4: Guilin - Yangshuo, Li River Cruise

  Embark on your boat cruise down the picturesque Li River after a drive to Zhujiang Pier (about 40 minutes). Enjoy the refreshing breeze as you take in the crystal-clear waters and highlight spots along the river, such as the famous Nine Horse Mural Hill, where the rock formations spark your imagination.   A great way to start your day in Yangshuo may be cycling along the scenic country roads. Pause whenever you wish to take in the idyllic views that change with the seasons - rapeseed flowers in spring, lush reflections of the landscape in summer, and golden rice fields in autumn. Alternatively, you can opt for a car ride.

  Then, drift along the tranquil Yulong River on a bamboo raft, gently propelled by the current and guided by a boatman, experiencing occasional jolts and splashes that add a touch of excitement. In the afternoon, you may like to try unique activities like Taichi lesson, painted fan making, or rock climbing for an added thrill.
