• Day 1: Guilin: Arrival

  Kick off this morning with a bowl of tangy and spicy Guilin rice noodles, then wander through neighborhoods, savoring steaming meatballs and sweet, icy desserts. Dive into a bustling market, select fresh produce and seasonal fruits, soaking up the lively atmosphere alongside locals.

  In the afternoon, explore Reed Flute Cave - the Palace of Natural Arts, where the stalactites and stalagmites shimmer in colorful lights, surprising you at every step. Wrap up your day at a traditional handicraft workshop. Try your hand at making a fan or Zhuang brocade to take a piece of Guilin's heritage home.

• Day 3: Guilin - Yangshuo: Li River Bamboo Rafting and Osmantus Trail Hike

  In the morning, head to Yangdi Pier in Yangshuo County and board a bamboo raft to drift downstream. Watch the rolling karst peaks reflected in the emerald waters of the Li River, as if a scroll of Chinese mountain paintings were unfolded before your eyes.

  After getting off at Chaoban Mountain Pier, begin your hike on the Ancient Osmantus Trail. The age-old stone road flanked by farmlands and rustic houses seems to step into a serene, timeless world. Conclude the day with a check-in at the hotel near Yangshuo West Street.

• Day 4: Yangshuo - Zhaoxing: Zhaoxing Dong Village

  This morning, hop on a high-speed train for about 90 minutes and arrive in Zhaoxing, Guizhou - renowned as the largest Dong ethnic settlement in the world. Upon arrival in Zhaoxing Dong Village, wander among the wooden stilt houses and quaint lanes, soaking up the village's peaceful, rustic scenery.

  As night falls, enjoy a performance of the Dong Grand Song, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Through unaccompanied voices, the Dong Grand Song leads you into the Dong people's history, culture, and way of life.

• Day 5: Zhaoxing: Distinctive Dong & Miao Villages

  Start the day by exploring three unique ethnic villages. Begin at Basha Miao Village, where villagers still use traditional fire guns and are known for their strong, fierce spirit. Continue to Zhanli Dong Village, famous for a legend: drinking water from the "male-well" or "female-well" with the herb huanhuacao is said to help families choose the gender of their children. Discover how this remote village keeps its population stable over time.

  Conclude the day at Huanggang Dong Village, featuring five drum towers carved with the 24 solar terms. Enjoy the panorama of its Song Dynasty layout from the platform.

• Day 6: Zhaoxing - Guiyang: Tang'an Terrace, Free Time in Guiyang

  Hike from Zhaoxing Dong Village to Tang'an Dong Village in the morning. Along the way, pass through the layered rice terraces and traditional wooden stilt houses, and occasionally spot villagers working in the fields, experiencing the serene rhythm of Dong rural life.

  Once the trek is completed, proceed to the train station for a bullet train to Guiyang, where you can spend the rest of the day unwinding at your hotel or exploring the city.

• Day 7: Guiyang: Huangguoshu Waterfall, Tianlong Tunpu

  Today, start with the majestic Huangguoshu Waterfall. Admire the thundering torrent from all sides, walk behind the water curtain to feel the cool spray, and explore the variety of cascades and streams in the scenic area.

  Afterward, transfer to Tianlong Tunpu Ancient Town, which preserves the lifestyle of military settlers 600 years ago. Immerse yourself in a lively Dixi Ground Opera showcasing a battle scene, try your hand at making traditional opera masks, and put on Ming-style clothing to get a glimpse into the past.
