About This Trip
This journey reveals four distinct faces of China. In Chengdu, it's giant pandas munching on bamboo, steaming cups of tea in People's Park, and the lantern-lit streets of Kuanzhai Alleys after dark. In Jiuzhaigou, crystal-clear lakes, cascading waterfalls, and the layered travertine pools of Huanglong create shades of blue and green that hardly seem real. Zhangjiajie features the towering pillars that inspired the floating mountains of Avatar. Finally, slow down in Fenghuang Ancient Town, where stilted wooden houses line the river beneath glowing red lanterns, creating a reflection that looks like a Chinese ink painting.
