Nanjing Tulou Adventure: Tianluokeng Cluster & Daping Lou

Today, a two-hour drive from Xiamen leads to the Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster in Nanjing County. From the mountain-top view platform, take in the panoramic view of the tulou cluster before enjoying a traditional Hakka lunch.

Following lunch, a 15-minute drive brings you to Xiaban Village to explore Yuchang Lou, a 700-year-old round tulou. Move to the Zhang Clan Ancestral Hall in Taxia Village, a charming site with stone bridges, flowing streams, and the historic Zhang family shrine. As you stroll along the cobblestone paths, the fresh air is invigorating. The tour continues with Daping Lou, a distinctive round tulou surrounded by a two-story outer structure capped with traditional grey tiles. The day wraps up with a return drive to your hotel.
