Day 1: Arrival, Congjiang - Zhaoxing
As you arrive at Congjiang Railway Station, your private guide will accompany you on a private transfer (around 10 minutes) to the nearby Zhaoxing Dong Village.
Settle into a local guesthouse and have some leisure time to freshen up before heading out to visit the village's iconic drum towers, wind-and-rain bridges, and traditional wooden houses. As you like, chat with welcoming villagers and glimpse into their daily lives.
Later this evening you have the opportunity to enjoy Dong folk art peformance at an open-air theater.

Day 2: Minority Villages Extension Tour
Departing from Zhaoxing, delve into the rich culture of Guizhou's ethnic villages on today's discovery journey. The first stop is Basha Miao Village, the last tribe legally allowed to carry firearms. You'll also amazed to see men cutting hair with sickles. Next, uncover the ancient herbal birth control practice of Zhangli Dong Village to balance family sizes and ensure communal harmony. Finally, delve into the primitive Huanggang Dong Village, a hidden gem with beautifully preserved wooden architecture.
Closing out the day, transfer back to Zhaoxing for the night.

Day 3: Zhaoxing - Congjiang, Departure
Morning brings a scenic hike from Zhaoxing Dong Village up to Tang'an Dong Village. This 7-kilometer journey along a winding brick-paved trail takes approximately 2.5 hours at a leisurely pace. As you trek through lush terraced rice fields on the mountainside, soak in the idyllic landscape, encounter locals doing farm work, and capture stunning photographs of your surroundings. Conclude with an exploration around Tang'an, celebrated as the first ecological museum of the Dong people.
A swift transfer (about 10 minutes) afterward will soon have you back to Zhaoxing. Enjoy your free time to refresh, pack up, check out, and have lunch before being escorted via private vehicle to Congjiang Railway Station for departure.
