Day 1: Shanghai, Arrival
Your first stop is Shanghai, China's economic center. Our private guide will pick you up and take you to your hotel.

Day 2: Shanghai, the Bund and Yu Garden
Learn about Shanghai's trendy colonial past from the gorgeous Bund, see Western-style high-rise buildings and neo-futuristic new skyscrapers, and document the disparities in prosperity between old and new Shanghai. Yu Garden, a classical Chinese garden, has provided over 450 years of peace and calm in the midst of a busy metropolis.
Silk is China's world civilization, and you will learn about its complex production process and exquisite silk fabrics in the silk workshop. After a brief tour of the Jade Buddha Temple, stroll from the former French Concession's Fuxing Park to the Stone Gate of Bugaoli to experience the vibrant life of traditional Shanghai.
In the evening, we offer a boat ride down the Huangpu River (additional price) to see the city's never-ending lights.

Day 3: Shanghai - Chengdu
Your driver and guide will meet you and transport you to the airport for your 3-hour trip to Chengdu, "the land of plenty." After your arrival, you will be driven back to your hotel by private vehicle and spend the remainder of the day exploring the property.

Day 4: Chengdu, Meet Giant Pandas
On this glorious morning, you are invited to the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base. If you want a better chance of seeing those adorable giant pandas enjoying breakfast and playing, get there before 8:30 in the morning.
In the afternoon, visit Wenshu Monastery to learn about tea philosophy and Zen Buddhism. Then, take a leisurely stroll down Jinli Old Street. The Chinese-style streets are lined with handicrafts and gourmet businesses, making you forget to leave.
The most recommended supper in this UNESCO-certified gastronomic city is a real Sichuan hot pot (for an extra fee). The spicy flavor and tingle on lips and tongue will provide a very unique experience.

Day 5: Chengdu to Xi'an by Bullet Train
Take a 4-hour bullet train to Xi'an, the axis of the Silk Road, the ancient capital of 13 dynasties of China.
You will be properly transferred to the hotel. After a short rest, you will ascend the ancient City Wall of Xi'an, the most complete surviving fortification in China.

Day 6: Xi'an, Terracotta Army & Muslim Quarter
Our main focus today is on the wonders that have stood for over 2,000 years: the Terra-cotta Warriors and bronze chariots that guard the tomb of the First Emperor of Qin. After admiring the artistry of ancient craftsmanship, you reach the bustling Muslim Quarter downtown to see how this city, the starting point of the Silk Road, combines East and West Asian cultures.

Day 7: Xi'an to Beijing by Bullet Train
Take in the breathtaking vista of Tian'anmen Square as you begin your day. Finally, climb up Jingshan Park, which offers a breathtaking view of the royal palace.

Day 9: Beijing, Great Wall & Temple of Heaven
Begin your day with a visit to the Temple of Heaven, where you can admire the intricate altar architecture and observe locals do their morning practices.
The remainder of the day will be spent exploring the breathtaking Great Wall, which is only a two-hour drive away. Ascend by cable car and walk a little further to appreciate its grandeur and the stunning surrounding landscapes.
