Itinerary

• Day 1: Arrival in Changsha

  Upon your arrival, your private transfer will take you to your hotel. Feel free to explore the exuberant city's nightlife and prepare for your following exploration.

  Begin at the Hunan Provincial Museum, renowned for its treasures from the Mawangdui Tombs, including the remarkably well-preserved remains and belongings of a Marquise, buried for two millennia before being unearthed.

  Then, visit Yuelu Academy, a symbol of Confucian heritage established in AD 976. It offers serene walks, captivating tourists with its natural beauty and remnants of ancient China's great minds.

  In the evening, take a leisurely walk along Juzizhou Isle (Orange Isle), known for its massive Mao Zedong statue and the scenic park inspired by his poetry.

• Day 3: Zhangjiajie

  In the morning, take a high-speed train to Zhangjiajie (2 hours). Upon arrival, your new guide will escort you to, ride the world's longest cable car (7,455 meters) from downtown to the top of Tianmen Mountain. This 30-minute journey transitions from the bustling city to the tranquil, mist-covered mountains. At the summit, admire the famous Tianmen Cave, a natural hole through the mountainside, which symbolizes the path to immortality for many. Don't miss the glass-bottom walkways along the cliffs for breathtaking views.

• Day 4: Zhangjiajie

  Begin your day at Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, part of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area, with a thrilling ride on the 326-meter-high Bailong Elevator. Marvel at the World's First Bridge, a natural stone arch 2 meters wide and over 300 meters high. Take in the mesmerizing sight of the pillar-like peaks, including Hallelujah Peak, the inspiration behind Avatar's Floating Mountains. Ascend Mt. Tianzi by cable car for stunning vistas of the surrounding peaks from over 1,200 meters high. Conclude your day adventure with a scenic train ride along the Ten-Mile Gallery, admiring imaginative rock formations.

• Day 5: Zhangjiajie

  Start your day immersed in the tranquil beauty of Golden Whip Stream. As you embark on a 3-hour walk along the Golden Whip Stream, you'll be surrounded by soothing streams, dense forests, and striking rock formations.

  Next, explore the Yellow Dragon Cave, a vast underground palace adorned with ancient stalactites and stalagmites. As you journey through this subterranean marvel, your guide will reveal captivating tales of its formation and history.

• Day 6: Furong Old Town and Fenghuang Old Town

  Travel to Fenghuang Old Town, stop first at Furong Old Town, a 1-hour drive from Zhangjiajie. Discover the “town hung on waterfalls”, surrounded by water and featuring unique stilted buildings showcasing ancient wisdom.

  Continue to Fenghuang Old Town (a 3-hour drive), where stone bridges and wooden buildings lend tranquility to this riverside town. As night falls, stroll in the ancient town and enjoy enchanting lighting displays, visit a local bar, or watch performances for a cozy evening.

• Day 7: Fenghuang - Zhangjiajie, Departure

  After breakfast, our tour guide will escort you back to Zhangjiajie Airport from Phoenix Town for your flight to the next destination. The journey will take about 4 hours.
