Classic Huangshan Itinerary

A classic itinerary for Huangshan usually includes visits to Mt. Huangshan and the nearby ancient villages, which usually take 3 days. If your flight gets to Mt. Huangshan in the afternoon or at night, don't rush to the mountain once you get there; spend the rest of the day knocking around the Tunxi Ancient Street first, try the local tea and snacks, and refresh for the following days. Mt. Huangshan is the highlight undoubtedly;  try to stay overnight on the summit to catch the sunset and sunrise and do some hiking for some of the best scenery of the mountain. Leave enough for "the village in a Chinese painting" - Hongcun Village, a village boasting authentic Hui-style buildings and mesmerizing Huizhou culture.
