Best of Chengdu: Panda, Tea and Hot Pot

Itinerary

• Day 1: Arrival - Chengdu

  Welcome to Chengdu, the cute, laidback, and appetizing city in China! While in Chengdu, you can't miss its panda, tea house, and hot pot.

  Upon arriving in Chengdu, your personal guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. After checking into the hotel, relax on your own.

• Day 2: Chengdu

  Have a pleasant morning at Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base to see its giant pandas, as well as red pandas, golden monkeys, and some other endangered wildlife. If lucky enough, you may also see some cuter baby pandas.

  In the afternoon, visit Chengdu Museum that displays various historical relics, local life in all aspects, and interesting folkways and handcrafts. Afterward, continue to the People's Park where you can join the locals to play Mahjong and taste their favorite tea.

• Day 3: Chengdu

  "Chengdu is a city soaked in the teapot." some people said that. After the tea experience at the People's Park yesterday, you may like to spend a leisurely day at a peaceful tea plantation about 100km out of the town to relish in the fresh breeze, learn about how to pick and process tea leaves, and enjoy a pollution-free lunch. Late in the day, proceed to Guanyin Temple to marvel at its stunning murals dating back to Ming Dynasty (around 550 years ago) and then drive back to the city.

  This evening, you will taste the world-famous Sichuan hotpot to tickle your taste buds.

  Today you will be free until your local guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
