Day 1: Arrival, Shanghai
After arriving in Shanghai, China's most cosmopolitan city, be met and transferred about one hour to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax or step out into this amazing city for a slight adventure on your own.

Day 2: Shanghai
As the largest natural museum in China, the Shanghai Natural History Museum is a great place for children to explore the natural sciences. Your family holiday will start from this museum in the downtown. You could spend two to three hours there with your kids, and then continue to discover people's life in the old quarter of Shanghai at Yu Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, and the former French Concession. Finally, end today's tour with strolling along the Bund and appreciating the most beautiful skyline of the city.
Optional: At night, a recommended acrobatic show at your own expense will please all your family members.

Day 3: Shanghai - Xitang Ancient Town - Shanghai
Today, leave the bustling city of Shanghai for the quiet Xitang Water Town (around 1.5 hours' drive). Xitang is a quaint,well-preserved town with a history of over 1,000 years, featuring stone bridges, ancient lanes, and covered walkways. You and your family will spend the whole day here. Enjoy an interesting sampan boat ride (included in the itinerary)down the canals, take a relaxing stroll through the corridors and lanes, and visit handicraft shops to see how folding fans and paper cuts are made. After the tour, transfer to your hotel in Shanghai for the night.

Day 4: Shanghai - Guilin - Longsheng
Fly to Guilin for 2.5 hours, and then proceed to the minority county of Longsheng by another two hours' private drive. On arrival, take hiking for 40 to 60 minutes to Ping'an Zhuang Minority Village on the mountainside. Settle down in the hotel and enjoy some free time to discover this ethnic village.

Day 5: Longsheng - Guilin
Early morning, passionate roosters in the village will wake you up to enjoy the charming sunrise on the terraced fields. Later, hike about an hour to Guzhuang Village, and hang around it to look the simple life of local people. Continue to Jinzhu Zhuang Village by another two hours walking along the mountain path.
Finish the tour at around 4:00 pm, and then drive about 2.5 hours back to downtown Guilin.

Day 6: Guilin - Yangshuo
Guilin becomes a world-famous travel destination because of the spectacular karst landscape on both sides of Li River. A leisurely cruise on Li River is what you can't miss. During the cruise, indulged in the breathtaking views of verdant hills, clean water, and green plants, any tiredness will be washed away. Disembark the ship in Yangshuo, walk through the bustling West Street, and then you will be transferred to your hotel to enjoy more leisure time on your own.
Optional: At night, the show of Impression Sanjie Liu with rich ethnic customs and rural life is waiting for your favor.

Day 7: Yangshuo
It is a free day for you to enjoy the countryside life on your own. Here are some suggestions for your reference. Cycling along the countryside road, a gently bamboo rafting on Yulong River or a cooking class at a local restaurant with onsite will be recommended.

Day 8: Yangshuo - Guilin - Chengdu
Depart from the hotel early in the morning, and drive about 1.5 hours to Guilin for your flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival, be picked up and transferred to the hotel.
In the afternoon, have the city sightseeing at the River Viewing Tower Park and Jinli Old Street to taste the slow pace of life in Chengdu. In the park, you can climb up Chongli Pavilion to enjoy a great view of the surrounding, try a cup of local tea at a small tea house, or stop to see local people play Mahjong.

Day 9: Chengdu
Head to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding at 8:00 am to watch the cute pandas enjoy their yummy breakfast. Pandas are always more active in the morning. Spend about 2 hours inside the Pandas Base. In the afternoon, head to Sanxingdui Museum, which is an hour's drive from Chengdu. It is the only museum about the lost civilization of Shu Kingdom (AD 221 - 263), one of the three kingdoms that ruled ancient China. Here you will gain a different perspective of Chinese history and be amazed by countless grotesque bronzes, gold, pottery and jade. These unearthed relics date back to 4,500 years ago and among them you should not miss the 2.62-meter-tall standing statue, the1.38-meter-wide bronze mask and the 3.95-meter-high bronze tree.
Finish the tour in the late afternoon, and then drive about 1.5 hours back to Chengdu.

Day 10: Chengdu - Xi'an
Take a 4-hour high-speed train to Xi'an in the morning. After arrival, be picked up and escorted to the hotel.
In the afternoon, pay a visit to Tangbo Art Museum where you will see many Shaanxi folk arts and try your hands to learn Chinese traditional calligraphy together with your kids. Later, ends the day with strolling on Muslim Street, where you can get a glimpse of Chinese Muslims' life.

Day 11: Xi'an
Today, you will have an unforgettable tour of the legendary Terracotta Warriors. After that, drive about one hour back to the city. En route, stop to see an underground cave dwelling where its owner is still living in it. Finally, visit the Ancient City Wall in downtown.

Day 12: Xi'an - Beijing
Take a morning train forwarding to Beijing. Arrive in Beijing five hours later, then be escorted to Gubei Water Town for overnight. Around 8:00 pm, take a cable car up to Simatai Great Wall to enjoy the beautiful night views. Please note that only towers 5 and 6 are open to tourists for the night tour, as these two towers are comparatively flat and safe at night. The trip will last about 1 hour.

Day 13: Beijing
This morning, before starting the amazing tour to Jinshanling Great Wall, you will have some free to wander around in the water town. Staying away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Jinshanling is an ideal place for you to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Great Wall. From here, you could start moderate hiking for 2 hours or 4 hours according to your physical condition.
After the tour, drive about 2.5 hours back to Beijing.

Day 14: Beijing
Begin the city discovery from Tiananmen Square, the political centre and the spiritual heart of China, and then proceed to the 600-year-old Forbidden City to appreciate the glorious complex of Chinese architectures and delve the historical changes of the royal families. Later on, continue to the Temple of Heaven where the ancient emperors prayed for good harvest every year.
Optional: For the last night in China, you may like to surprise your families with a Kung Fu Show out of the plan.
