About This Trip
You'll pack a memorable week with the highlights of China's Guangxi, starting in Guilin and ending in Hezhou. Drive to Longsheng, marvel at spectacular Longji Terraced Fields, and visit Ping'an Village. Get close to the local life of the Zhuang people. Take a relaxing cruise along the Li River to Yangshuo, and admire stunning riverside views. Explore the Yangshuo countryside by bike, and join a cooking class to make delicious Chines dishes. Day 1: Arrival, Guilin
Upon your arrival at Guilin Liangjiang International Airport, your tour guide will meet and escort you to your downtown hotel. After checking in, relax in the hotel or set out for a short exploration.

Day 2: Guilin - Longsheng Town
Drive about 2 hours to Longji Terraced Fields Scenic Area in a combination of the natural landscape and ethnic culture.
Upon arrival at the parking lot, get off and hike for around 50 minutes to reach Ping'an Village, where your hotel is located. The people here still remain in the exquisite Zhuang costume and live a simple life in traditional three-storied wood buildings with hemp railing. You'll try to make the specialty oil tea under the direction of a local lady dressed in Zhuang costume at noontime and follow your guide to discover the terraced fields with the stunning sunset view in the late afternoon.

Day 3: Longsheng Town - Guilin
Get up early and take a light hike up to capture the stunning sunrise over the rolling terrace fields dotted with quaint villages. Afterward, return to the hotel to have breakfast and then pack your luggage for the return journey to Guilin.

Day 4: Guilin - Yangshuo
This morning, you'll depart for Yangshuo by a relaxing cruise along the Li River fringed by towering peaks, green meadows, and lively villages. It usually takes around 4 hours depending on the water condition and lunch will be served on board.
After getting off, walk through the exotic West Street lined with countless stalls selling various souvenirs or snacks, and then go to your hotel either by a furthermore walk or drive. Check in and have the rest of the day free at leisure.

Day 5: Yangshuo
No better way to explore Yangshuo than by bicycle. Riding through the trails along the otherworldly countryside, you'll have the chance to admire a peaceful Chinese pastoral landscape of buffaloes, netted rice paddies, and verdant hills. If not good at riding, you can take the private vehicle instead. In the afternoon, join in a cooking class to learn how to cook local cuisine and enjoy your work as dinner.

Day 6: Yangshuo - Huangyao Town - Yangshuo
Spend the day exploring Huangyao Ancient Town, about 2 hours north of Yangshuo. With a history of over 1,000 years, this town retains many buildings and remnants of the Ming and Qing dynasties and offers you a journey back to the past. Take some time to ramble around the ancient slated-paved walkways with quaint resident houses on both sides and take in its special atmosphere.

Day 7: Yangshuo - Guilin, Departure
Leave Yangshuo behind for Guilin airport. Before it, make a visit to the Silver Cave, one of the most charming limestone caves famed for silver-colored stalactites in various shapes.
