Best Time to Visit
The Fairy Mountain in Summer
The best time to visit Wulong is spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). With pleasant weather, the two seasons are excellent times for hiking and taking spectacular pictures of the karst landscapes. Visiting between March and May, you can see lush greenery and a lively forest landscape. In the autumn months, the mountains are decorated with golden and red leaves, adding a warm and magical touch to the scenery.
Summer, from June to August, can be hot in general, but Longshuixia Gap and Furong Cave are much cooler, making them a perfect escape from the heat. If you plan to visit Fairy Mountain, be sure to take sun protection. Since summer is also the rainy season in the Wulong Karst Region, don't forget to bring a raincoat or umbrella.
Winter (December-February) is budget-friendly and less crowded, and you can admire the charming snow-covered scenery in Fairy Mountain. The mountains and gorges are often covered in mist or frost, creating a mysterious and serene atmosphere. You can wear a warm coat and non-slip shoes because it's cold and the paths may be icy or wet.
