After receiving a few quotes, we quickly decided to book with China Odyssey Tours. I myself, having worked in the travel industry all of my 35-year career, was a little hesitant having not booked via an offshore website before for a personal holiday with 7 friends.   China Odyssey Tours provided everything I could possibly want with a private, customized tour of China. The guides were extremely helpful with my son who is disabled and uses a walker or a wheelchair. We had all the extra help and planning we needed to ensure he had a positive and fulfilling experience. We were treated like royalty at each stop. The guides have a lot of knowledge both historically and in terms of the local attractions, ensuring we saw and did exactly what we were looking for. The guides also ensured we were assisted with all of our internal travel, so easy! Tom also proved extremely helpful advice when we were initially planning our trip, he helped us out a lot and provided excellent ideas to make our trip fun and memorable.   Alice Wang was an exceptional tour guide. When we arrived in China, our flight was an hour early. We were pleasantly surprised that Alice had made sure that we did not have to wait one minute to be picked up for our adventure. It was a great start. She has been the best guide that we have to add the privilege to work with throughout our travels. She paid great attention to details and quickly noticed if we needed something. She made sure that were we safe and comfortable with everything that we were doing, including getting us through the Beijing train station and on our bullet train to our next adventure in China.

  My family and I had a wonderful time in Beijing. We worked with Tom and customized a very affordable private tour package. He was great with suggestions, and recommendations and was really patient working with us on planning our trip. And in Beijing, we have nothing but great things to say about our tour guide, Linda. She was amazing and made the trip perfect! We enjoyed all aspects of the trip. Our favorite was the Great Wall and the opportunity to toboggan down! I did not know that we were able to do that until the day of, and it was the highlight of the Great Wall for us! We wished we planned a little more time there so we had the opportunity to walk along the wall for a longer amount of time. But Linda did a great job giving us flexibility while keeping us on track. We were very glad we were able to visit the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, which allows access via a cable car, which was good for my mom. Linda was so great from start to finish, she brought us into the airport, helped us check-in, and all the way to the gate! We couldn’t ask for better guidance. Again, we enjoyed our trip and definitely will plan another trip (with more days) so we can experience more.
