The Terms and Conditions below govern the agreement between you, the client, and us, China Odyssey Tours. By booking a tour with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please take the time to read them carefully to ensure you fully understand them prior to booking a trip with us.
1) Within 24 hours of receipt of your inquiry, a China Odyssey Tour travel consultant will contact you and assist you in creating a tour plan that is based on your specific requirements and interests. Your travel consultant will work with you one on one until you are happy with your tour plan.
2) Once you confirm your tour plan (excluding international flight) with us, a 15% deposit will be required to secure your booking. When we have received your deposit and documents, we will secure your reservations. However, for larger groups, the deposit will be of a higher amount based on suppliers fees, such as hotels, airlines etc.
Note: the percentage of deposit may vary when you have international flights booked with us. Kindly consult your travel consultant for more information.
3)We highly recommend you book your tour at least 60 days prior to your preferred departure date to avoid disappointment. Full payment is required 30 days prior to your travel date. We reserve the right to require a higher amount of deposit or an advance payment of the outstanding balance during high season to secure your booking if required.
4) Once your booking is confirmed, your travel consultant will send you a Confirmation Letter to inform you of the booked flights and hotels, as well as other itinerary items in detail.
In the case of an emergency (such as risk or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorism, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather, transport problems, also see in Force Majeure that is beyond our control and occurs after the issuance of the confirmation letter, China Odyssey Tours reserves the right to make changes and offer you similar alternatives.

We accept three ways of payment:
1) credit card;
2) wire transfer (bank transfer);

1. You can find reference exchange rate at BOC EXCHANGE RATE.
2. China Odyssey Tours will provide you with quote calculated in Chinese currency-CNY, as well as the equivalent quote in USD based on the current exchange rate. Please note our quote in USD may change slightly due to the fluctuation of the exchange rate, though CNY quote remains the same.
In the event that you need to cancel your tour, you must submit your cancellation request in writing. Charges will be calculated from the date we receive your written cancellation.
All payments for travel services not provided to the client shall be refunded in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and China Odyssey Tours' cancellation policy:
The cancellation fee will be calculated as follows:
1) No less than 14 days prior to scheduled departure date: 0% of the full payment per person.
2) 7 to 13 days prior to scheduled departure date: 10% of the full payment per person.
3) 3 to 6 days prior to scheduled departure date: 50% of the full payment per person.
4) 2 to 0 days prior to scheduled departure date: 100% of the full payment per person.
5) Plus: additional cancellation fees, if applicable, imposed by the service providers other than Odynovo (may include but not limit to banks or other payment platforms, airlines, cruises, hotels, railway companies, etc.) will be deducted from the money refunded.
Substitutions of traveller are considered as reservation cancellation and are subject to the above cancellation fees.
Once the trip has commenced, we will not refund any amount for unused services (may include but not limit to airlines, hotels, railway companies, ship companies etc.) due to your early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.

China Odyssey Tours endeavors to offer the best tour possible for our clients, hence before your reservation is confirmed, your travel consultant will adjust the itinerary free of charge until you get satisfied. However, once you get the Confirmation Letter, alterations of the confirmed tour plan from your end will incur a fee of $25 per request, and changes on tour date or destination may cause cancellation fees; and the feasibility of change is subject to availability and can’t be guaranteed.
If any changes on itinerary come from your end, then you need to pay any additional cost in advance.
In case of any change on flight schedule or on-land transportation, or any other events beyond our control, China Odyssey Tours reserves the right to modify your itinerary and any increase or reduction on your tour cost will be recalculated & collected/ refunded accordingly.
The responsibility of China Odyssey Tours and its affiliated companies is strictly limited. China Odyssey Tours is not responsible for any wrongful or negligent acts, or failure to act of any service suppliers of land, air, and water transportation, sightseeing, cruise/hotel accommodations, or of any third party not directly owned or operated by China Odyssey Tours. By using the services provided by these suppliers, you agree that you will turn to the suppliers for any accident, injury, damage or loss on you, which China Odyssey Tours won’t be held accountable for.
In case of any emergency or force majeure, China Odyssey Tours reserves the right to alter hotels, flights, scenic spots or cruise ships etc., or to cancel the tour at any time before your tour starts. If China Odyssey Tours needs to cancel any of your confirmed tours before it starts, we will make full refund of the money we have received. If your flight tickets are dealt with by a third party, China Odyssey Tours won’t be responsible for your airline ticket cancellation fees.
Considering the fact that not all scenic spots are open every day, China Odyssey Tours reserves the right to modify the sequence of attractions or even the cities to make sure you can visit all attractions listed in your itinerary. In either case, the itinerary will be maintained to the extent possible and we won’t be able to refund for any unavailable attractions.
China Odyssey Tours is not liable for your failure to comply with customs regulations nor do we take responsibility for the loss of your valuable items due to your own negligence.
China Odyssey Tours holds no responsibility for any criminal act or any act of the clients considered to be criminal by the laws of the country visited, but is obliged to provide both relevant law offices and the clients with utmost assistance in investigation when needed.
Without limitation, China Odyssey Tours is not held accountable for any injury, loss, or damage to person or property, death, delay, or inconvenience due to the provision of, or failure to provide, any goods or services caused by or resulting from--but not limited to--force majeure, insurrection or revolt, acts of war or civil unrest, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations, mechanical or other failure of airplanes or other means of transportation or for the failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time, sanitation problems, lack of medical care, or for any other conditions beyond the control of China Odyssey Tours.
Many tour packages provided by China Odyssey Tours may involve activities that need extra attention, e.g. boarding and disembarking, climbing hills and entering and exiting tombs and caves etc. Our tour guide will offer their advice and help, however, all activities are undertaken at your own risk. China Odyssey Tours, its employees won’t be held accountable for any accidents after we have fulfilled our duty and taken the necessary care.
The clients have to hold a passport valid for at least 6 months to travel to all countries within our service scope. Clients are responsible for documentation accuracy, passport validity and dispatch of documents. Clients must offer us the exact full name on their passport; otherwise any consequent delays, transport failure are not our responsibility. Also, travel insurance purchased in advance is strongly suggested for your own sake.
As specified by the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China, check-in luggage for domestic flights is 20kg (44pounds) for the economy class, 30kg (66pounds) for the business class, and 40kg (88pounds) for the first class;
Hand luggage is allowed less than 5kg (11pounds) in total and within the size of 20×40×55 each piece(standards of different airlines may differ slightly).
You will be responsible for any excess baggage charges.
It's requested by the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China that all suitcases can be locked, otherwise the airport may refuse to load suitcases onto the aircraft.
It’s required to inform us in writing, at or before your booking, of any physical, emotional or mental issue that probably requires professional care or use of particular equipment on the trip.
Please bring your own foldable wheelchair with you, and please note that some conditions and certain kinds of tour are not friendly to wheelchair. China Odyssey Tours cannot guarantee any wheelchair assistance or accessibility in destinations outside of China.
China Odyssey Tours reserves the right to reject any clients whose condition, in our opinion, may affect the health, safety of other participants, as well as women who are pregnant for 6 months or longer.
Clients should consider all the risks regarding to international travel and understand the health requirements of their destination. It's clients' responsibility to check the safety & security conditions of your destination and the area you are going to transit through.
For tourists to Tibet, it's required to offer a doctor's certificate proving their normal blood pressure and heart condition are suitable for a tour to Tibet.
Clients should check and follow the health & vaccination requirements necessary to enter their destination and transit area. It's better to consult your doctor or local department of health in advance.
Before you depart for your trip, we strongly recommend you purchase comprehensive travel insurances to cover a wide range of unforeseen circumstances, including lost or damage of baggage, flight delays or cancellations, etc.
Compensation won’t be made when the fulfillment of contract between clients and China Odyssey Tours are hindered by the following events: risk or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorism, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, technical problems on transport, closure or congestion of airport or ports, cancellation or change of scheduled airlines etc. that are beyond our control.
Whenever you are not satisfied with any service of China Odyssey Tours, no matter before, during or after your tour, please let us know through your local tour guide or your travel consultant immediately, so that we can solve the problem in the first time and prevent it from happening again.
For any complain or compensation request, China Odyssey Tours needs to be informed by email or by phone within 15 days after your tour ends. Please provide relevant receipts and evidence along with the letter of complaint. Please note that China Odyssey Tours won’t be responsible for any claims made later than 15 days after your tour ends.
